Blue Rocks – Visual Studio 2005 Launch

In the fall of 2005 Jakob and I (in the role of Microsoft Student Partners) held a Visual Studio 2005 Launch Party at AAU. You can read the announcement here and some pictures here. It was all part of a global initiative from Microsoft, who encouraged community groups around the globe to create buzz around the VS Launch.

A couple of days ago I was reminded of the event, when Henrik W. Hansen, Academic Developer Evangelist, and Jakobs and my immediate “boss” at Microsoft, MSN’ed me and said he had a gift for Jakob and I. The day before yesterday I received it: a Guitar Mania Blue Rocks collectible guitar.
The reason for the guitar is obvious; the subtitle of the VS Launch was “Ready to Rock”.
Anyway, cool gift, another one for the trophy shelf

Mix06 and The Digital Lifestyle

I’m currently watching the live webcast with Bill Gates from Mix06. I’m writing this blog post from my tablet which I repaved with Vista Feb CTP today. The webcast is running on my Media Center Pc connected to my TV.
