Blue Rocks – Visual Studio 2005 Launch
In the fall of 2005 Jakob and I (in the role of Microsoft Student Partners) held a Visual Studio 2005 Launch Party at AAU. You can read the announcement here and some pictures here. It was all part of a global initiative from Microsoft, who encouraged community groups around the globe to create buzz around the VS Launch.
A couple of days ago I was reminded of the event, when Henrik W. Hansen, Academic Developer Evangelist, and Jakobs and my immediate “boss” at Microsoft, MSN’ed me and said he had a gift for Jakob and I. The day before yesterday I received it: a Guitar Mania Blue Rocks collectible guitar.
The reason for the guitar is obvious; the subtitle of the VS Launch was “Ready to Rock”.
Anyway, cool gift, another one for the trophy shelf
