Microsoft’s Origami Project
Neowin hit the nail, and took the words/thoughts right out of my mouth/brain – of course anyone can say that, so you’ll just have to believe me, when I say it
A strange site has popped up recently and caused a little stir amongst the Windows communities.
Origamiproject.com is owned by Microsoft and hints at some announcement being made on the 2nd March 2006.
We don’t believe this is related to Vista specifically but we think this may be related to Ultra Mobile PCs (UMPCs). Intel recently announced that it was gearing up to a relase “before April” of the much hyped mini PCs that include WWAN and GPS capabilites. Intel’s UMPCs are likely to be similar to the OQO computer released last year.

German Student Partners Create Sample App
9 Microsoft Student Partners from Germany has created a sample app called AdventureWorks.Cinema from scratch, in which they exercise a lot of the facets of the .NET Framework 2.0:
What would you do to demonstrate a new technology? Yes! You’re right! Create a comprehensive example. And that’s exactly what 9 studentpartners did. They created “Adventureworks.Cinema” – a sample with 5 client applications and one server application, demonstrating almost all facets of the .NET Framework 2.0.
Pretty cool stuff.
