How do I set up my domain for Sender ID?
Cool! Maybe I should do that…
With Exchange 2003 SP2 coming out soon, Sender ID will become more important. How do you set up the DNS record for the domains in your organization? You can easily do this with the SPF Record Wizard.

Microsoft Wants a Piece of the Ajax Action
As Mary Jo Foleys article points out, Microsoft has been using Ajax for a long time. The direct link to a funny blog post about is here. It’s kind of funny that it’s taken so long for the world to discover Ajax, and coin a term for it, when the technology upon which it’s based has been around for several years (I think XmlHttpRequest was implemented in IE4 back in the 90′s!).
Anyway, Mary Jo Foley has a nice write up about the “Microsoft does Ajax”:
Microsoft doesn’t want to be left behind when it comes to the development code name du-jour. The result? Microsoft ‘Atlas,’ an Ajax-based programming framework, is born.

Lambda The Ultimate: Generics are a mistake?
So, I don’t know how to ease into this gently. So I’ll just spit it out.

GrokTalks are up
The GrokTalks done at TechEd 2005 in Orlando are up. A GrokTalk is a talk done by the RD’s from Micrsoft, who in 10 minutes presents a topic. It’s cut to the bone, no bullshit, just the facts and right on. There are a plethora of talks which look interesting and which I haven’t heard yet.
Anyway, GrokTalk the Blog, RSS Feed.

Project Exam Done
I had my last exam today, and it was in the project we’ve done over this semester. The theme for the project was to investage and set up a solution for a residential complex providing wireless internet access to its residents, and provide different services such as Web, E-mail, etc.
It’s been a pretty crappy semester and project, but I guess that’s part of the game.
The exam went well, I got the grade 11, and the rest of my group got the grade 10. Since I don’t have any exams left to pass, I can now consider myself Bachelor of Science in Software Enginnering.

Watching Sessions from TechEd 2005 Orlando
I’m currently sitting outside in the good weather, and watching some sessions from TechEd 2005 in Orlando, Florida. I’ve seen Scott Hanselmans talk on Code Generation, which he compares with Software Factories. It’s a great talk, which placed some pieces of the Factory puzzle for me. Currently I’m watching Don Box‘ talk on Meta data and Web Services.
I picked up the book on Software Factories when I was in the USA, and I’m in the process of reading it. It’s very good, and answers some questions on how to make the transition from craftmanship to regular industrialization, a topic which I find very interresting. (Casey Chestnut has a short review of it)
