Qte drinks the kool aid

Posted in Misc by Kristian Kristensen on the February 27th, 2005

Via this post on Ruby on Rails it appears that Qte has taken a sip of the kool aid, that is RoR.
My only comment to his post (because I got to comment), is wher he writes:

One of the down sides of Ruby on Rails is that it is based on Ruby, thus developers will have to learn a new programming language (how ever beneficial this new language might be) I do not find the syntax all that intuitive.

I do not find that to be a disadvantage, since Ruby is pretty cool, and that same argument could be used for practically every other technology around. Including PHP which Qte is normally fond of, and writes fundanemt in.

Alas, I too have investigated RoR, and expect to write more about it, but lets see how that goes.

On a side note, it appears as though I am mixing languages using both Danish and English for my blog posts, and indeed I am. Since my switch from Dotnetforum I have decided to use English as the primary language for my blog. However, Danish posts may occur :-)

How can it not be a disadvantage that the ruby syntax is not intuitive?
