After trying a lot of players (Xine, Avifile, XMPS, XMMS w. avifile-plugin,etc.) I’ve finally got it to work!

I compiled MPlayer and it just runs beautifully. MPlayer doesn’t use a lot of ressources and can even play the DivX movies full-screen, which I couldn’t get any of the other players to do.
